H.E. Eng. Hessa Ahmed Al Malek

H.E. Eng. Hessa Al Malek has 14 years’ worth of experience in the Ministry of Works. From 2000-2006, she worked as a Site Engineer and Project Manager, overseeing the planning and development of remote areas in UAE. In 2006, she was named Head of Roads Design and Planning, promoted to Director of the roads department in just one year. Al Malek served as Assistant Undersecretary for prepared works affairs from 2012-2013 and Director of Urban Planning from 2013-2014, before taking on her current position. Al Malek earned her bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from UAE University and holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning/Traffic Planning from the American University of Sharjah.
