Head of Projects SAL Heavy Lift

Before moving into projects, Sune Thorleifsson began his career in 1996 working as a broker in Denmark. He held additional broker positions in Rotterdam and Singapore before hiring on with a heavy-lift carrier in 2004. During his career, Thorleifsson has developed and executed many on- and offshore related projects. He has also been deeply involved in developing the network of SAL offices around the world.
 
SAL Heavy Lift specializes in sea transport of heavy-lift and project cargo, and its offshore subsidiary focuses on developing and delivering installation solutions for the oil and gas and renewables sectors. Thanks to more than 30 years’ experience, integrated best practices in HSEQ, highly trained crews and innovative engineering teams, SAL Heavy Lift provides safe, innovative, environmentally friendly and reliable transport solutions. Today, about 130 employees ashore and 600 crewmembers on vessels work closely with a worldwide network of agents and offices.
