Dark Blue Shipping started operations in Dubai in 2016 with a team of just three people, with a clear goal in mind: to fill the gap in the market for a premium, client-oriented and all-round logistics service provider in the region. Unlike most other freight forwarders, our goal was not just to be the cheapest, but to be the best and provide a smooth experience and peace of mind to our clients. The success of this model was so rapid that, within 12 months we opened our second branch in Muscat, Oman, and 12 months later, we opened our third branch in Istanbul, Turkiye.
As of 2024, we own and operate a 20,000-square-meter open yard and closed warehouse facility in Jebel Ali with a fleet truck, as well as 3PL storage solutions in Sohar, Mersin, and Istanbul.
Over the years we have focused on specialized cargo such as OOG, Breakbulk, Flexibag and dangerous goods, which have seasoned our team to handle oversized industrial machinery, various classes of dangerous goods, chemicals in liquid or solid form, pipes, etc. This expertise, along with our extended network of offices puts us in an excellent position to transport these cargo from European and Chinese suppliers to the Middle East and Central Asia. Additionally, our warehouses located in Jebel Ali, Sohar and Mersin provide temporary storage solutions to our clients, especially for raw materials and chemicals that are often bought in large volumes.
