This year's Women in Breakbulk main stage topic focuses on becoming a more influential leader. The ability to influence others is a key to effective leadership and this session will take a deep dive into the ways to build influence through relationships, skills, communication and innovation. We'll hear from four influential women at different stages in their careers who will share their experiences in building their style of influence. You'll come away with practical strategies you can apply in your workplace: the dos and don'ts of becoming a more influential leader. This session includes a light networking breakfast and a period to share your own experiences and ask questions of the panellists.
This year's breakfast session will take place on the main stage on Tuesday, 13 February at 10:00.

Dalia Farahat

Dalia Farahat is a seasoned professional with over 23 years of experience in the telecommunications and logistics sectors. Currently serving as the Regional Control Tower Manager for Oil & Gas Projects in the Middle East & Africa at DHL Global Forwarding, Dalia is deeply rooted in project management, customer-centricity, and an unwavering commitment to service excellence. Her work consistently yields enhanced efficiency, innovative solutions, and improved profitability for customers.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Dalia is a dedicated solo parent to a remarkable 22-year-old gentleman and a lovely 15-year-old daughter. Alongside her family commitments, she nurtures a passion for holistic healing modalities, holding certifications as a Theta and Sound Healing practitioner. This showcases her dedication to giving back to her community. Additionally, Dalia actively engages in personal development programs through the esteemed Procter Gallagher Institute.

Abir Leheta
CEO of Egytrans
Abir Leheta was elected Chairman & CEO of Egytrans, the leading national transport and logistics provider, in 2015, becoming the first woman to occupy this position in company history, and continues as CEO since 2022. Abir is also a Non-Executive Board Member of Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Co. and Board Treasurer of the United Nations Global Compact Network chapter in Egypt.
Recognized by Forbes among the Middle East’s 100 Power Businesswomen in 2020 and 2023, Abir’s record of transformative leadership is demonstrated through successfully implementing programs that have significantly changed the company. Under her leadership, Egytrans continues to grow, aiming to build a transnational Transport and Logistics enterprise recognized within the region.
Abir dedicates significant time to civic organizations and is a vocal advocate of women’s empowerment and climate governance. She holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science with a Minor in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo.

Simona Peter is the Business Development Manager at Fleet Line Shipping Services LLC, Dubai. A graduate from the University of Warwick in the UK, she managing overseas client relationships and is involved in the company’s project conversion, pricing and operations processes.
