Carsten Meyer’s career in the multipurpose shipping sector spans over three decades. After concluding his apprenticeship as a shipping merchant in 1997, he became a Chartering Broker for coaster tonnage at Herman Buss, before moving over to Ems ConBulk (both in Leer), where multipurpose and container tonnage were added to
the scope of his position as Chartering Broker.
In March 2003, Carsten Meyer joined BBC Chartering, assuming responsibility for bulk and container tonnage. In 2017 he became responsible for Fleet Procurement and Fleet Management, overseeing a fleet of 140 multipurpose charter vessels on average operated by BBC Chartering.
