Dr. Ahmed Al Abri is the Chief Executive Officer of Asyad Ports, the Port management and operation arm of Asyad Group.

A seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the maritime and logistics industry, Dr. Al Abri began his long and versatile career as a naval architect with experience in Oman and the UK, later becoming a Chief Naval Architect at the Oman Royal Navy.

In over three decades, Dr. Al Abri developed in-depth knowledge and experience in specialized maritime fields, managing various maritime and shipbuilding projects and accumulating board experience in drydock, ports and logistics facilities.

Prior to his current role at Asyad Ports, Dr. Ahmed Al Abri held several executive leadership and board positions, including Deputy CEO at Oman Drydock Company, Chairman of the Board at Duqm Naval Dockyard, Acting CEO of Oman’s Port Management, and Operation Company MARAFI.

He holds a PhD in Operational and Environmental Management of Ports and Shipyards from the University of Portsmouth, as well as a Master of Science degree in Maritime Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Naval Architecture from the University of Southampton.
